MONOPOLY AND ARROGANCE OF RULING CLASS IS UNBEARABLE NOW

Just a few days back at Bhatta-Parsaul (u.p) Rahul Gandhi said that Mayawati government of U.P acted as an agent of builders and contractors. She acquired land of poor farmers at the nominal rate and gave it to builders to earn huge profit . Builders are beneficiary and farmers are victims. Fertile agricultural land is given to the builders' lobby that indicates vested interest of the government.

Those who are in power make money by hidden deals, is no more a secret. Kanimozis , Kalmandi , Maaran in recent times have indulged in malpractice, is well known to all . Even in the past there has been revelation of commissions and deals made by erring ministers . Many cases are pending in the court , which are at different stages .

For common man it is no more a secret that ministers make money because of their position and power . This is applicable to whole political class irrespective of their parties.

Rahul Gandhi has made recent accusations against Mayawati just for political mileage, but it will be praiseworthy if Rahul Gandhi speaks against his own partymen in power, in state or central government .

It is good that corruption is made an issue . It is really praiseworthy that monopoly of government in making arbitrary rule, is challenged . People will have to go on struggling against corruption, malpractices, high handedness and insensitivity of rulers . Struggle of people will definitely make coming time better ..........Like RAHUL GANDHI LET OHER POLITICIANS COME OUT AGAINST EVILS OF POLITICIANS.

THE PRESENT MOVEMENT LED BY ANNA HAZARE AND BABA RAMDEV IS GIVING VENT TO THE DEMANDS AND EXPECTATIONS OF COMMON MAN OF INDIA.CORRUPTION IS REALLY A BIG ISSUE FOR THE NATION. GOVERNMENT CAN IMPRISON OR HARASS THESE RESPECTED NOTABLE INDIANS, BUT CAN THE GOVERNMENT ARREST SOME CRORE OF PEOPLE WHO NURTURE HATRED AGAINST

CORRUPTION. IT CAN'T . LET THE ELECTION COME. EVERYONE WILL SEE ITS RESULT

MAJESTY OF GREAT TEACHER

Present lot of teachers must learn from the writings and history created by Acharya Chanakya.
Where is the majesty of great teachers of the past, something that we see in the serial CHANDRAGUPTA ?
The values he believed in ,high moral pedestal he had , greater national interest he nurtured in the mind, and the dedication he had for his profession, the respect he commanded ,....... We don't find it in the teachers of present generation. If you say time has changed ,I will not buy your argument. Even now we need teachers who can inspire us ,who can lead us, who can command us, who can serve our society in a better manner . We need such Acharya.The teachers have not only to impart knowledge, he has to be philosopher, he has to be motivator. He has to teach life skill to the students. Success of a teacher lies in success of students.

Learn From The Book- Unto This Last

I would like to share with you the teachings of a great book- Unto This Last written by John Ruskin. This book and its economic ideas had magic spell on Gandhiji. After reading this book, he had decided to change his life according to its teachings.

Ruskin brings out, happiness is not physical and economic well being. Physical and economic well being in disregard to morality is contrary to divine law. Only by observing moral laws we can be happy. If we indulge too much in self interest it paralyses our power of discrimination between good and evil.

We have some duties towards fellow human being.

The summary of the book is beautifully put down by Gandhiji as such:-

• The good of individual is contained in the good of all.
  
• The lawyer's work has the same value as the barbers. As all have the same right of earning their livelihood from their work.
• A life of labour is the life worth living.

Further it is said in the book, highlighting some truths like -

The soldiers profession is to defend
The pastor's to teach
The physician's to keep in health
The lawyer's to enforce justice
The merchant's to provide people with essentials.

The duty of all these men is on due occasion to die for it. For truly, the man who doesn't know when to die, doesn't know how to live. In the present time these ideas must be understood by people because people are fast developing individualism. Everyone must commit individual self to collective good of the society.
I want students and young generation must read these ideas and I recommend this book for their reading.

Need To Understand Dalit Aspirations

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Baba Sahab Ambedkar, I had the privilege to attend a function organised by Ambedkar Vichar Manch. I was impressed by the organisational ability of Dalits. For the first time, I could see how much revered is Baba Sahab among Dalits and others. Definitely I also saw aggressiveness and anger among Dalits. They want to rise up. They want to acquire political power and economic power. There's nothing wrong in it. But I feel Dalits should give up hatred for upper castes. Present time demands, inclusive growth. In the development of India, all should have equal share and opportunity. I am thankful to my journalist friend Karan Singh for inviting me to the program.

Teachings Of Perennial Interest--Wisdom of ages

5th september is celebrated as teacher's day in India . It gives teachers an opportunity to introspect what do society expect from them and see for themselves how they are responding to the society . It gives an opportunity to the students to show their respect to the teachers who would mold young minds .

I'm here before you to deliver a talk on "Teachings Of Perennial Interest--Wisdom of ages".

In India and in the world there has been great books and great teachers who have left rich source of wisdom , which enlighten our life. These ideas and thoughts are pure and refined . These thoughts have been filtered in the course of passage from generation to generation . Impurities get submerged in the past , only filtered pure knowledge comes to us . These are simple thoughts but are difficult to practice.

Mundakupnishad reminds us to follow truth, untruth is not accepted by people for long time. Finally people discard untruth. Satyamev Jayte.

Even books on modern management teach us to follow laws and ethics.
Every one has to dedicate one self to the path of truth. For truth is Eternal and truth is God.
Indian traditions emphasize on compassion, charity. At the same time it tells not to have ego of being helper. (Narsi Mehta beautifully puts it in bhajan Vaishnav Janto tene kahiye).

Shastras ask everyone to give up Kama, Krodha and bad company.

Geeta asks people to have equipoise in happiness or sorrow in good time or in bad times.

All Indian great books stress on patience and love. They ask people to dedicate their accomplishments and desires to God.

VEDAS & UPNISHADS ARE HIGHEST PHILOSOPHICAL POINT

The present generation doesn't read Indian classical text.With the passage of time,it is proved that ancient texts like Vedas,Upnishads represent climax in ideological thought.Vedas are like Himalayas and Upnishads are like peaks.Among the philosophical writings in the world Upnishads represent the best and the most crystalised thought.With the evolution of global consciousness relevance of Vedas and Vedanta has increased. The five most important thought that I came across and are guiding principles for the present time and for the future .
Ishavasyopnishad writes the first sloka that whole universe is run by One Power,there is no other power(advaita)the world is enlightened by the light of Parmbrahma who is omnipresent,omniscient and omnipotent.Whole galaxy is lighted by this power.
It further writes god is in the soul of everyone. "Ishwarah sarwabhutanam hridya tisthati";there is a link between inner Atma and outer Parmbrahma.It establishes unity.
Ayam nijah paroveti,ganana laghu chetsam
udarcharitanamtu vasudhaiv kutumbakam.
Long before west talked about global village as concept,indians talked about to world as a global family.
West got divided by the idea of nationalism.And so Europe saw two world wars in the previous century.
According to vedas God is one.God is in everyone's soul Ekam sat,viparah bahuda vadanti.Truth is one,God is one.
Fifth most important thought of Vedanta is bahujana hitaya,bahujana sukhay.We should think of happiness of all,not only happiness of individual.This is mine,this is their,this is thought of mean people.Learned people think in terms of whole world as family. "Ayang nijah paroveti,ganna laghu chetsam,udar charita nam tu vasudhaiv kutumbakam".
